Pricing

I am currently charging €15 per hour of work.

After a consultation, I will quote the expected amount of time spent in hours and price accordingly. Half of the quoted price must be paid upfront. The remaining half will be paid upon completion. Should the final amount of time spent vary from the quoted amount, the price will be adjusted accordingly.

Example: A set of illustrations is expected to take 4 hours. An amount of €30 is paid first, the work is completed and altered if needed, then the remaining €30 is paid.
All payment is done in € (euro) through PayPal invoicing, though if the customer is Dutch an exception may be made to issue a bank transfer.

Communication & Timeline

Communication will generally go through the preferred method of the customer (such as email or discord). I strive to answer any inquires within a few working days.

To request a commission, simply contact me via one of the channels on the homepage. In your request, please include:

  • Amount of illustrations

  • Style of illustrations (i.e. cartoon-like)

  • Subject (i.e. a chemical reaction)

  • Description and / or sketches of the proposed idea (Even stick figures in MS Paint will do!)

  • Description of research the illustrations will be used for (i.e. biocatalysis)

In general, an illustration will take a few weeks to complete starting from the time the request is made. Once a request is made, I will compile a set of sketches for the customer to review and change them as needed (this is free of charge). Should the sketches be in order, I will request partial payment and start work. The customer will then review the completed work, and should everything be in order, pay the remaining amount.

Should changes take longer than expected or are they particularly complex, extra time will be charged for.
